As legislated under Australian intellectual property law, Copyright serves to protect the Intellectual Property “IP” rights of an individual author or organisation and the “Work” they have originated and created, which can include, but is not limited to; Copywriting, Lyrics, Charts, Music, Photography and Design. Copyright is automatically assigned to the author without any requirement for registration from the moment it is created. All Work produced by Carlotta Centanni is considered to be her Intellectual Property and her rights to her Work must be respected at all times. Work such as songs and lyrics created by Carlotta Centanni are registered with APRA AMCOS and are subject to the collection of royalties.

About APRA AMCOS

APRA AMCOS is the music rights organisation representing Australian and New Zealand artists, songwriters, composers and music publishers. The organisation licenses organisations and individuals to play, perform, record or make available member’s music and distributes the royalties to our members.

APRA AMCOS are affiliated with similar agencies around the world, so that when Australian and New Zealand songs and compositions are performed overseas, Australian and New Zealand artists get paid for the use of their work. APRA also help music customers in Australia and New Zealand access music from the rest of the world.

APRA’s membership, licensing, distribution and international arrangements are authorised by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) who are an Australian Government agency. APRA choose authorisation from the ACCC to represent the interests of songwriters and publishers and recognise this may give rise to competition issues under the Competition and Consumer Act. 

Employees, suppliers and third parties

Ownership of copyright enables Carlotta Centanni to protect her IP rights (of her Work, both present and past). To ensure there is no infringement of IP rights, all Work produced for Carlotta Centanni by all “Suppliers” which includes but is not limited to all collaborators, organisations, employees, musicians, contractors and sub-contractors is considered to be the IP of Carlotta Centanni except where there is provision under Australian copyright law and ownership does not infringe the IP rights of these individuals.

Carlotta Centanni values the services of her Suppliers and Musicians and usually has no problem should they wish to use her Work for personal promotional purposes. To do so, we ask you seek permission first by emailing us with the purpose of use and the Media you wish to use. We may ask you for more information about your enquiry.
